Homeschool Mini Trip: The Homestead PH

We were able to visit a farm for our homeschooling year and I decided to choose The Homestead PH because of the animal interactions that Adrienne can experience aside from exposing her the farm environment. There is a need to set an appointment and luckily we were able to secure one upon inquiring.

The Homestead PH is located at Antipolo Del Norte, Lipa City. Their schedule of operation is Mon-Fri 9 am-6 pm Saturdays 9am-3pm. There is a minimal fee for every person to be able to do different activities which includes: animal feeding (Chicken, Goats and Sheep), picture taking with the animals, egg picking, fruits or vegetable picking, picnic & grill area, planting, nature arts and crafts/activities and educational eco-farm tours.

During our visit we weren't able to do some of the activities mentioned because it was just right after a storm. Also their plants are still recuperating hence we cannot pick out fruits from it. But the quality of the education tour was superb. The staff were accommodating to explain everything inside the farm.

I bring my husband, my daughter, my mom and my niece with me to keep us company however they were a bit bored with all the talks that is happening. Well my small family enjoyed the interaction with the animals and the feeding activity. I was happy to let Adrienne finally see real animals aside from the normal day to day animals roaming around the subdivision. She was able to see a turtle, rabbit, sheep, goats, chicken, and the singing bird Kikay! She even sing and dance with it. Watch our vlog below for other things that we did when we visited Homestead Farm.

A Day at Homestead Farm

I hope that we can find another one to visit nearby soon. I want to expose Adrienne to different environment with our homeschooling setup. I have too many plans and places to visit but I am also looking out for quality, educational and fun trip with her.
